Lansdale Officer George Johnson retires after 27 years of service

Lansdale Police announced the retirement on Monday of one of its longtime and dedicated officers.

Officer George Johnson began his service with Lansdale Police in December 1997, according to a Facebook post from the department.


    



"Over the course of his distinguished career, George took on various roles and responsibilities, consistently demonstrating his commitment to the department and the community," police said.

Johnson served as Field Training Officer, Officer in Charge, Bike Officer, County NET Team Member, and Abandoned Vehicle Officer, police said. 


    


"Each of these roles was a testament to his versatility and unwavering professionalism," Lansdale Police said. "As Officer Johnson moves on to new endeavors, we want to express our deepest gratitude for his years of service and wish him nothing but the best in his future pursuits."
