Several first responders extinguish bedroom fire Friday morning

Several first responders worked together to extinguish a bedroom fire on the second floor of an apartment on the 100 block of Green Street, at the intersection of Vine Street in Lansdale Borough Friday morning.

According to Montgomery County emergency dispatch, a caller reported smoke coming out of the apartment and the fire alarm sounding at 10:32 a.m. Reports said the caller made access into the apartment, and that something was left on, causing a light smoke condition.

    
    


The scene was under control and cleared by 11:10 a.m. The intersection was closed momentarily at Susquehanna Avenue, Courtland Street, York Avenue and Green, and Montgomery Avenue.

Responding units included Fairmount Fire Co., Fire Department of Montgomery Township, North Penn Vol. Fire Co., VMSC Emergency Medical Services, Hatfield Vol. Fire. Co., Upper Gwynedd Fire Department, Worcester Fire Co., Colmar Fire Co., Towamencin Vol. Fire Co., Towamencin Fire Police Special Service, and North Penn Fire Police.
