The Montgomery County Board of Commissioners will hold its first board meeting of the year on Thursday, January 9 at 10 a.m. During the meeting, the Commissioners will vote on the Board’s organization for 2025, electing the Board’s Chair and Vice Chair for the upcoming year.
“Since the moment we were sworn in together in January 2024, this Board of Commissioners has demonstrated the strength of our commitment to the people of Montgomery County,” said Commissioner Jamila H. Winder. “Our dedication to our residents, business owners, visitors, and community members remains our top priority. Together, we will continue to address the needs of our residents and provide critical services to our community equitably and efficiently. We accomplished a tremendous amount in our first year in office—and we will continue to take steps to make Montgomery County the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”
"We achieved so much in 2024—from investing in data modernization for our local police to jumpstarting progress on a hydroelectric dam in Bridgeport,” said Commissioner Neil K. Makhija. “In 2025, we’re looking to continue that progress for the residents of Montgomery County, taking action on everything from climate initiatives and infrastructure investments to government efficiency and civil rights protection.”
“This first board meeting of the year is an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to work together as a Board and to deliver the best possible outcomes for Montgomery County residents,” said Commissioner Thomas DiBello. “I appreciate the great work of all the County’s 3,000 employees over the last year, and I’m looking forward to continuing my promise of making sure that the County is working as efficiently and responsibly as possible.”
The meeting will take place at One Montgomery Plaza, 425 Swede Street, 8th Floor, Norristown, PA 19401. The meeting will also be streamed on the Montgomery County website and social media pages. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
