Wood stove fire ignites part of house Tuesday morning

A wood stove fire has destroyed part of a home on the 1200 block of Clymer Road in Hatfield Township Tuesday morning.

According to Montgomery County emergency dispatch reports, the call came in at 10:40 a.m. reporting heavy smoke coming from the house and emanating from a wood stove. Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke showing from the eaves of the 1-and-a-half-story home, per reports.

There were no residents home at the time of the fire, per reports. Firefighters opened ventilation in the roof to help extinguish the fire.
