First responders were called out to the intersection of Church Road and Bethlehem Pike in Hilltown Township Sunday night, for the report of a two-vehicle accident blocking the roadway.
Arriving crews encountered a dark colored four-door pickup truck, with heavy front end damage, and a silver Honda SUV, also with heavy front end damage, in the roadway.
Both vehicles had their airbags deployed. Witnesses at the scene said the accident was a head-on collision with debris all over the road, according to Montgomery County Public Safety Dispatch.
At least two people were transported to area hospitals with unknown injuries. Traffic in the area was reduced to one lane in both directions while crews worked to process the scene.
It is unknown at this time what caused the accident to occur. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Hilltown Police were assisted at the scene by VMSC Emergency Medical Services, and Hilltown Fire Company.
