Captain Paul Kreuter and Detective Danielle Politsky received a Meritorious Service Commendation at the Dec. 19 Police Commission meeting, presented by Chief Karl Knott.

On Aug.11, the victim reported being stalked and threatened by an ex-boyfriend she had dated 20 years prior. The suspect left a dead octopus next to the victim’s car, left dead fish in her front yard, used chemicals to write derogatory names on her lawn, destroyed her car with chemicals and manure, and left a rifle round on the hood of her car.

The suspect harassed the victim with large amounts of text messages and emails sent by using a cloaking application. Det. Politsky was assigned the case with oversight and assistance provided by Capt. Kreuter.

During the course of the investigation, Politsky proficiently and professionally processed the victim’s car and recovered three tracking devices, two on the victim’s car and one on the current boyfriend’s car. Politsky filed over 10 search warrants on this case and was able to determine the name of the suspect through investigation and interviews.

A search warrant was conducted on the suspect’s residence by the Herndon Police Department in Virginia. Police discovered numerous items/materials that could be used to create bombs and multiple long guns and handguns. Herndon Police were assisted by the Fairfax County Virginia Sheriff’s Bomb Squad, the ATF, FBI and Fairfax County Fire and EMS Services.

The area surrounding the suspect’s home was evacuated until the residence was secure. Evidence of the crimes committed in Doylestown were obtained resulting in Politsky filing criminal charges and the arrest of the suspect.

This investigation and subsequent arrest are a fine example of a well-coordinated effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies (local, State and Federal) to successfully find and arrest a very dangerous suspect.

Politsky is commended for her investigative expertise and Kreuter for his oversight and efforts in coordinating the numerous agencies. Their actions bring credit to the Central Bucks Regional Police Department and to themselves individually.
