A suspect was taken into custody Monday night following a stabbing that left a man hospitalized in Lansdale Borough, police confirmed.
Officers with the Lansdale Police Department responded around 7:55 p.m. Monday to a report of a stabbing victim on Shaw Avenue, according to police. The victim, a 33-year-old male, was transported by VMSC Emergency Medical Services ambulance to Grand View Hospital for treatment of multiple wounds.
Police said their investigation determined the incident began as a domestic dispute inside a residence in the 100 block of East Main Street, before the injured man was later located on Shaw Avenue. Emergency dispatch and EMS radio traffic indicated callers initially reported a fight involving two individuals yelling in a foreign language, possibly Spanish, with the stabbing believed to have occurred behind the East Main Street property.

A suspect was subsequently taken into custody and was awaiting arraignment before Magisterial District Judge Ed Levine, police said. Authorities noted that additional details will be released following the arraignment.
