Multiple area professionals were treated to an awards breakfast Tuesday, December 9 in recognition of their time mentoring high school students.
Hosted by the Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce in the Souderton Area High School library, the breakfast honored three local professionals who participated in the high school’s mentorship program, a 20-hour unpaid career experience that students complete as part of the Pathway 360 Program.
The mentors included Rachel Zablocki, an English teacher at Souderton Area High School; Savannah Baker, a forensic toxicologist and STEM educator at the Center for Forensic Science Research and Education; and Dr. William Fritz, an animal science professor at Delaware Valley University.
“The Indian Valley Chamber was honored to help celebrate the mentors recognized by Souderton Area High School,” said the Chamber. “These individuals support students in the Pathways 360 program, where students take part in real-world mentoring and job-shadowing experiences. We’re proud to stand behind programs that help guide the next generation of our workforce.
