(The following press release was provided verbatim by North Penn School District)
Students at A.M. Kulp Elementary School are the new engineers of “The Polar Express”, an interactive school-wide experience. The Polar Express departs daily from A.M. Kulp Elementary and takes students and staff on a magical ride around the building.
The activity was created by Autistic Support teachers Rebecca Pforter and Annie Sabo. Each day the train “departs” with a different grade level from the school and stops at different stations along the way. Students act as conductors and run activities along the way, building skills and confidence.
Students who have already ridden The Polar Express have given rave reviews, and other grade levels will get a chance to get in the holiday spirit before the school departs for winter break.
