Promoting itself as a new Latin American coffee experience that is rooted in warmth and grown with care, Macaw Coffee opened a new 7-days-a-week heartfelt haven Friday morning at the former Junction House Pub and historic H.C. Nolan & Co. Cigar Manufacturers location at 115 Walnut St., Level 1, in Lansdale.
The coffeehouse offers in-house and takeout options: Espresso ($3.50), Americano ($3.25), Drip ($3.50), Latte ($5.50), Cappuccino ($4.50), Cortado ($4.50), Chai ($5), Macawccino ($6.75), Matcha ($5.50), Hot Chocolate ($4), Tea ($3.20) and Macchiato ($3.75).
There are various pastries, fruits and breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and fresh sourdough Macaw Miche bread loaves ($8+) and baguettes ($4.50) from its artisan kitchen.
Pastries include cornetti croissants ($4.50-$7.50), Pain au Chocolate ($4.50), Danish ($5.25), Marbled Milk Bread ($3.75+), and Cinnamon Rolls ($4.75).
Sandwiches include The Black Forest (Housemade mayo with roasted onions, gouda cheese, Schaller & Weber Black Forest Ham, and caramelized onions on your choice of bread), Jamon Serrano & Cheese (17-month aged Serrano ham, roasted tomato-garlic paste, and gouda cheese on your choice of bread), Macaw Turkey Pesto (Oven-roasted turkey, housemade basil pesto, Swiss cheese, and fresh arugula on your choice of bread), Ham & Cheese (Sliced ham and gouda cheese toasted and pressed until the bread is crisp and the cheese melts into a smooth, savory finish) and Soft Egg Sandwich (Soft scrambled eggs on our milk bread with bacon bites and house mayo). Prices range from $8 for the soft egg sandwich to $15 for the Jamon Serrano & Cheese.
Macaw also offers avocado toast, salmon toast and ricotta toast, ranging between $11.50 and $14.50.
Its Instagram offers the coffee spot as a venue for shared moments and a place to pause and connect.
