New owner will continue hotel operations, per reports
The Joseph Ambler Inn in Montgomery Township has been sold to a Huntingdon Valley investor and developer for $5.72 million, who intends to keep the 52-room hotel with restaurant, bar and event space operational.
Under the alias JAI Properties LLC, Tilak Singh told the Philadelphia Business Journal that he paid $5.725 million for the 12-acre property and five buildings, plus additional undisclosed acquisition costs, in October. According to the report, Joseph Ambler Inn is its own independent brand and management team.
Per the report, the property was formerly owned by Richard Allman, who purchased the farm in 1983 and opened the inn. Throughout the decades, Allman converted the property into a venue, complete with a 15-room bed-and-breakfast.
All in all, Joseph Ambler Inn, a popular site for weddings and conferences, has five events spaces to accommodate up to 200 people, per the article.
The hotel, located on Horsham Road near the 202 Parkway, bears the name of its founder, a wheelwright whose family claimed 90 acres in the area of the inn, between 1723 and 1825.
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brokered the sale.
According to LinkedIn, Singh is the principal of Lotus Growth Properties LLC and is manger of Wynn Real Estate. In 2023, Singh purchased the old carpet mill in Penndel Borough near Langhorne in Bucks County.
