Leaf pickup continues this week across Lansdale, with all four collection sections scheduled before the weekend.
Borough crews began rounds this morning in Section One — the area bordered by West Main Street, North Broad Street, the northern borough line, and Squirrel Lane. The annual sweep aims to clear residential curbs before winter weather arrives, and residents are reminded to prep leaves properly to ensure they are collected.
Section Two is scheduled for Tuesday, covering homes between East Main Street, North Broad Street, the north borough boundary and North Wales Road. Crews will move into Section Three on Thursday, servicing streets bordered by West Main Street, South Broad Street, White’s Road and the western edge of town, comprising the "West Ward."
The week concludes Friday with Section Four, which includes properties south of East Main Street and South Broad Street, extending to the Wissahickon Creek and the southern borough line.
The borough is asking residents to use biodegradable leaf bags only. Plastic bags will not be picked up. All bags should be curbside before crews arrive, and drivers will not return to streets that are not ready, officials reminded. Those who believe their property was missed can report it to Public Works at 215-361-8371.
