Family Nights this week are Wednesday and Thursday, where a $30 wristband lets you ride all night
For 64 years, the St. Stanislaus Summer Festival has marked the end of summer for the Lansdale area, and it returns Tuesday to Saturday this week with five nights of food, fun, games, music, and beer.
“Back in 1961, the parishioners of St. Stanislaus took a break from an escalating Cold War, the construction of the Berlin Wall, and the continuing war in Vietnam to inaugurate the annual St. Stanislaus Summer Festival,” states the festival website. “Now, warm nights, great music, plenty of snacks and beverages are the perfect accompaniments for this annual summer event. Ours is the most continuous carnival/festival in the area.”
The festival kicks off Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and repeats every night at the same time until Saturday at the Mater Dei Catholic School grounds at Third Street and Lansdale Avenue.
Good Times Amusement is running the rides again. The popular Family Nights are back – just check the weather report before buying the tickets, as there are no refunds.

New to the festival this year are Axe Throwing, Chucking Chicken, Can Slam, and Escape Rooms. There will be mini golf and Make Your Own Tie Dye as well.
Returning this year is an entirely covered Local Tap-sponsored Beer Garden and eating area, with temperature control thanks to fans.
When it comes to food, sure, there is the usual funnel cake, ice cream, lemonade, and water ice. But, Chef Chipper Panico has the food on lock again this year. Panico’s Neighborhood Grill co-sponsors the food tent.
Eileen McNulty and The Main Freeze are this year's ice cream and water ice sponsors.
Featured bands this week are Big Willie Band on Tuesday, Stranger Things on Wednesday, Highway Run on Thursday, GruvTyme on Friday, and Funzaluv playing out the fair on Saturday night.
The popular St. Stan’s Garage Sale returns during festival hours. Go ahead and put money down on the money wheel or play Bingo inside the air-conditioned gym, every night at 7 p.m.
There will be a $3,500 grand prize this year, a $1,250 second prize, and a $750 third prize drawing on Saturday night, with raffle tickets selling for $10 each, or six for $50.
All proceeds from the raffle tickets will be donated to St. Stanislaus Parish. Tickets can be purchased at the festival or in the parish center now until Tuesday at 6 p.m. Winners need not be present to claim a prize. Drawing is Saturday at the Festival.
Cheer Wheel donations are needed, such as spirits and gift cards. No wine. Drop off items at the Cheer Booth at the Festival or at the Parish Center. Call 215-855-3133 to make arrangements.
Parking for the event is available at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church lot, side streets, or basically anywhere you can find it, legally.
