The driver of an Autoparts Warehouse car was trapped in the vehicle, then rescued by Fairmount and Hatfield firefighters, and eventually transported by VMSC Emergency Medical Services for treatment of injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash at the entrance to Wedgewood on Moyer Road in Lansdale Borough Thursday afternoon.

The accident occurred around 12:45 p.m. at the Wedgewood Drive intersection, near the Hatfield border, involving the aforementioned green and yellow car and a gray Toyota sedan.

The elderly male driver became trapped after the car flipped onto its driver’s side following impact. First responders cut the roof off the patient’s car to rescue him; he was conscious and alert and complained of arm pain, according to reports from the scene.
