If your dog fancies itself a solo explorer or your cat likes to test the perimeter of your neighborhood on the daily, you are not alone — and Lansdale Police have your back.
In a move that will have tails wagging and hearts resting easier, Lansdale Borough Police have launched a Pet Registry to help reunite residents with their adventurous animals. Whether your beagle bolts after the mail truck or your tabby treats the backyard fence like a mere suggestion, this new program is designed to make sure wandering pets find their way home fast — without detours through the pound or panicked Facebook posts.
“Sometimes our furry family members just gotta roam,” police said in the announcement. “But when they do, we want to help bring them home safe and fast.”
Residents can register their pets online by submitting a few details and, importantly, a photo — because when your dog is spotted trotting down Main Street like it owns the place, a photo helps officers make a paw-sitive match.
The registry is for Lansdale Borough residents only, and the information stays private — used exclusively by law enforcement to reunite lost pets with their humans.
No public access, no spam, just happy endings and wagging tails.
When it comes to getting pets home safe, every paw counts. To register your four-legged family member (or the one who thinks they are in charge), visit Lansdale Police Department’s Pet Registry.
