Lauren Leigh Kosiorek, of North Main Street, is free on unsecured bond
Two counts of aggravated assault, both felonies, as well as misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon and possessing an instrument of crime, were held for Montgomery County Common Pleas Court at a preliminary hearing last week against a Souderton woman.
Lauren Leigh Kosiorek, 35, of the 200 block of North Main Street, is accused of stabbing a man in his ear with a pair of scissors, according to charging documents.
On March 24, at 4:23 p.m., police were called to Kosiorek’s home for a fight in progress. Officers had to make forced entry into an apartment, due to yelling and screaming coming from inside, police said.
A victim was found with extensive blood coming out of his left ear and a blood-stained shirt, police said. He told police Kosiorek stabbed him in the ear after an argument over a cell phone, per the complaint.
Kosiorek allegedly admitted to detectives that she stabbed the victim with scissors, even showing the pair of scissors to police.
Kosiorek is free on $25,000 unsecured bond and will be arraigned May 28. No attorney information is available on her criminal docket.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
