A Hatfield Township man faces 11½ to 23 months in Montgomery County jail after pleading guilty this week to a misdemeanor indecent assault charge stemming from an April 2023 incident with an underage girl in Lansdale Borough.

Tigh Davi Richardson, 26, of the 1600 block of Forest Hills Drive, admitted in court to touching the juvenile without her consent for his sexual gratification, according to Assistant District Attorney Bradley Walter Deckel in a report by The Mercury.

Richardson molested the girl while he visited her residence on East Main Street. His plea agreement, per the report, included sex offender supervision while incarcerated.

Judge Wendy G. Rothstein ordered Richardson undergo an evaluation by the Pennsylvania Sexual Offenders Assessment Board, which will determine if he meets criteria to be classified as a sexually violent predator, according to the article.

Richardson is free on bail, awaiting a sentencing hearing, per court records. He is also prohibited from contacting the victim.

According to The Mercury, Richardson pleaded guilty shortly before jury selection was to begin for his trial. He also faces a 15-year requirement to report his address to state police in order to comply with the state’s Megan’s Law rules.

Police said a 15-year-old girl reported Richardson had indecent contact with her on April 3, 2023, in which he woke her up in the middle of the night by touching her in an indecent manner without her consent.

Afterward, he texted the victim and she told him she was reporting him to police. He then asked her not to contact police, stating he knew he “f------ up, please believe me.”
