Md Numir Hossin, 25, of Spruce Street, was charged in October 2024 with felony rape of a child and numerous counts of indecent assault of a child under 13
A Lansdale Borough man, who said his victim could not have "adult feelings," has cut a deal with prosecutors and admitted to raping a child in 2016 when he was 17 years old and the girl was under the age of 10.
Md Numir Hossin, 26, of the 500 block of Spruce Street, pleaded guilty to felony rape of a child during a call of the trial list in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Tuesday.
Nine other felonies and two misdemeanors were dismissed against Hossin as part of the plea agreement: A second charge of rape of a child, two counts of aggravated indecent assault of a child, two counts of aggravated indecent assault of someone under 13, two counts of indecent assault of someone under 13, two counts of unlawful contact with a minor, and two misdemeanor counts of indecent assault of a minor, according to court records.
According to The Reporter, Hossin faces five to 10 years in state prison and three years of probation.
Hossin was charged in October 2024 with felony rape of a child and numerous counts of indecent assault of a child under 13, which occurred while the girl was in his company at an East Main Street home.
On July 25, 2024, Lansdale Police and the Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth received a referral from the state Department of Human Service's Childline agency regarding allegations of the sexual abuse of a female juvenile victim, police said.
In a follow up interview with investigators, the girl alleged that she was sexually assaulted by Hossin on multiple occasions when he was 17 years old and she was five, according to charging documents.
On Sept. 3, Hossin was interviewed by police about the alleged incidents. Hossin reportedly said the incident happened once, and not the three or four times the victim alleged, per the complaint.
He also told police that since the victim was little, she could not have “adult feelings,” per the affidavit.
Montgomery County detectives conducted a polygraph on Hossin, police said, however the results of the test were not included in the affidavit of probable cause.
According to the report, Judge Thomas M. DelRicci ordered an evaluation by the Pennsylvania Sexual Offenders Assessment Board, which will determine if Hossin meets criteria to be classified as a sexually violent predator.
Hossin was permitted to remain free on bail pending sentencing and must not have any contact with the victim as condition of bail.
Assistant District Attorney Bradley Walter Deckel is handling the case. Defense lawyer Danton Lee Moyer represented Hossin during the court proceeding.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
