Police continue investigation into Hatfield bicyclist hit by car Saturday night

The investigation continues into an accident Saturday night involving an adult bicyclist who was injured and taken to Lansdale Hospital after being hit by a Honda Accord.

Towamencin Township Police said the Accord, driven by an adult female from Lansdale, struck an adult male from Hatfield on an electric bike at 7:47 p.m. at Tomlinson and Forty Foot roads.

Police said the accident occurred as the driver of the Honda was turning and struck the bicyclist, who was cross the roadway.

Police had no update on the victim’s condition Monday.

The scene was cleared by 8:30 p.m. Saturday, and Towamencin Police were assisted by VMSC Emergency Medical Services.

Charges are to be determined following the investigation, police said.
