Two injured after vehicle overturns in crash on Pennsylvania Turnpike in Towamencin

Emergency crews were dispatched for a vehicle rescue at mile marker 28 on the Pennsylvania turnpike at 1:21 a.m. Sunday.

Emergency crews were dispatched for a vehicle rescue at mile marker 28 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike at 1:21 a.m. Sunday after a two-vehicle accident left one car overturned in Towamencin Township.

Arriving crews encountered a black Volkswagen sedan overturned and a heavily damaged black four-door sedan with it's airbags deployed. All three of the southbound lanes were at a stand still for just under 45 minutes as crews worked to clear the scene. 

Two people were transported via ambulance in unknown condition to area hospitals. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
