The Pennsylvania School Environmental Repair grant funding was possible via State Sen. Maria Collett
Senator Maria Collett (D-12 Montgomery) is pleased to announce $250,180 in state funding for North Penn School District through the Pennsylvania School Environmental Repair Grant Program.
"Every time we invest in safe school infrastructure, we’re investing in our students – and in the future of our Commonwealth,” Senator Collett said. “I was proud to fight for historic K-12 education funding in the 2024-25 state budget, and I’m thrilled to see those dollars being put to work for North Penn School District, one of the largest districts in Pennsylvania. This grant will allow district leaders to make necessary repairs and ensure our students, teachers, and staff can learn, work, and grow in a safe environment.”
North Penn School District is one of 109 school districts, career and technical centers, and charter schools in the Commonwealth to receive funding through the Environmental Repair Grant, which was implemented through the 2024-25 PA state budget. Recipients recieved funds totaling $75 million that can be used to improve water filtration systems, address lead and other contaminants, remediate mold or asbestos, and address other environmental issues.
