Montgomery County’s Green Lane Park will host an educational program in late September 2024. On Saturday, Sept. 28 the annual “Upper Perkiomen Bird and Wildlife Festival” will return for its 13th year.
Slated for Saturday, Sept. 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the festival is for all county residents, of all ages.
Bring the whole family for an awesome day of fun and learning at this annual community event. The festival features live music, live animal presentations, Monarch Butterfly tagging, up close goat encounters, free hayrides, dozens of environmentally themed exhibitors and vendors, kids’ games and much more. Visit the “Eco-raffle” table to buy chances to win cool merch donated by area merchants. Food vendors will be on site as well. Join in to celebrate the rich wildlife heritage of the Upper Perkiomen Valley!

Montgomery County’s Parks, Trails & Historic Sites Advisory Board is also currently accepting applications to appoint up to ten new members. This Board works to preserve and enrich Montgomery County’s historic sites and open spaces through advising the County Commissioners and the Parks Administrator.
