The congregation of St. Mary & St. Kyrillos Coptic Orthodox Church of Hatfield opened its doors and its culture to the community during last weekend's celebration of the 17th annual Egyptian Festival.
The Unionville Pike church filled its inside and outside with authentic Egyptian culture during the two-day event.
It featured tables where visitors could purchase everything from books, blankets, posters, candles and jewelry. Many youth members created handmade crafts.
The Coptic Egyptian Festival is known for its food with dozens of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes as options, including stuffed grape leaves, phyllo, canoly, kofta, kabobs, shawerma, and falafels.
