Costumed canines took the main stage on Saturday at Montgomery Mall in Montgomery Township during the 3rd Annual Montgomery Mall Doggy Halloween Costume Contest.

The event was organized by Montgomery Mall and Montgomery County LGBT Business Council founder Richard Buttacavoli, of Lansdale, who also runs Ricky’s Pride PAC.

Judges for the contest were Buttacavoli, Montgomery Township Supervisors Tanya Bamford and Beth Staab, Lansdale Borough Councilman Mike Yetter, and Upper Gwynedd Township Commissioner Denise Hull.

Every contestant went home with a prize, even those pooches who didn’t compete, making it a great day for everyone involved, Buttacavoli said.

The Best in Show winner, he said, was a dog who hilariously decided to pee on an ornamental doggie bush, which had everyone laughing.

Check out photos from the event below.
