Police said the effort is to identify and remove impaired drivers from the roadway. The patrols will be conducted in areas that have been identified as locations where alcohol has been a significant factor in unsafe driving and vehicle crashes.
In addition to driving under the influence, enforcement will also include aggressive driving, unlicensed or suspended operator licenses, proof of insurance, vehicle registration, vehicle equipment, and other traffic violations.
