Fire crews fight shed and brush fire Monday afternoon in Salford

About 10 fire agencies were called to a shed fire on the 20th block of Morwood Road in Salford Township Monday afternoon.

Montgomery County emergency radio dispatch reported a shed on fire, with the fire spreading to the grass and nearby homes, at 4 p.m.

According to reports from the scene, nearby neighbors were moving cars and evacuating homes for safety. The fire is near the Ridge Road intersection.

Lower Frederick Fire Co., Harleysville Fire Co., Green Lane Fire Co.,  Tylersport Fire Co., Towamencin Fire Co., Upper Salford Fire Co., Red Hill Fire Co., Worcester Fire Co., Skippack Fire Co., and Telford Fire Co. have responded to the scene. 

No EMS has been called, per county emergency dispatch.
