A single-vehicle accident that occurred Wednesday at Broad Street and Allentown Road in Upper Gwynedd remains under investigation, police said over the weekend.

Police said details of how the crash occurred, and the possibility of filing charges, are still under investigation as of Sunday.

On Wednesday, at 3:08 p.m., police said a witness made a 911 call about a silver Lexus sedan crashing into the traffic pole at the intersection.

Two occupants – and adult male and female – were in the car, police said, and at least one was taken to Lansdale Hospital via VMSC EMS, due to injuries to the face.

South Broad Street was shut down southbound, with assistance from fire police.

The scene was cleared by 4:11 p.m., police said.

Upper Gwynedd Police were assisted at the scene by Lansdale Police and Upper Gwynedd Fire Police.

Police did gather witness statements and surveillance videos, authorities said.
