If you are looking for something fun to do this week in communities in Montgomery and Bucks counties, check out some fun offerings taking place this week in the region:



Upper Gwynedd

Upper Gwynedd Township Parks and Recreation holds its Fall Fest on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Parkside PlaceThe afternoon features vendors, children’s crafts, hayrides, Touch-A-Truck, petting zoo, entertainment and more. There is a minimal cost for crafts and food trucks.   



Wissahickon

The Wissahickon Valley Historical Society will hold an open house Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 799 Skippack Pike, Blue Bell, on “Remembering the 1960s.” See the historical society’s best examples of the 1960s, from ephemera to a private collection about NASA space exploration, to a recent donation to the society—a large collection of magazines and newspapers about the Kennedy family and the Kennedy assassination.

“Remembering the 1960s,” has been assembled to highlight artifacts and documents recently donated along with artifacts from the WVHS collection and from private collectors. Centre Square’s vintage fire truck will be there, too.



Doylestown

Crafts in the Barn presents its Fall Maker’s Market, from Oct. 16 to Oct. 19, at Living Hope Community Church at 311 W. State St. For three days, more than 85 makers will bring their very best. Credit cards accepted. Bring a friend and a shopping list.



Willow Grove/Jenkintown

The UECC Ukrainian Center holds its October Fest event at its 700 Cedar Road, Jenkintown location, starting at 2 p.m. Saturday. The festival will have delicious beer, food trucks, and raffle prizes.

 

Collegeville

Local tribute band Basic Cable: A Tribute to the Golden Age of MTV rocks an 80s Dance Party Saturday at 9 p.m. at Troubles End Brewing, 50 W. Third Ave., Collegeville. The band will rock with 80s hits and a party atmosphere.


Horsham

B-4 you forget, mark down Family Bingo Night on your calendar, taking place Friday night at the Horsham Township Community Center at 1025 Horsham Road. All proceeds benefit the Montgomery County Suicide Prevention Taskforce. Doors open at 5 p.m., with games running 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Register here.
