Nick Sirianni on Sideline Antics: ‘Just Excited To Get the Win’

  • Eagles

The Eagles squeaked out a 20-16 win over the Cleveland Browns Sunday, narrowly defeating a team saddled with the worst contract in the sport that's now 1-5 on the season.

That's what made it strange when Nick Sirianni appeared to be jawing with fans after Jalen Hurts completed a 40-yard pass to A.J. Brown to ice the game. A win is a win, but this was hardly a mic drop victory from the Eagles to improve to 3-2:

Following the win, Sirianni offered little insight into what led to his antics, other than to repeat "just excited to get the win."

The Eagles got the victory, but it was by the skin of their teeth. Rather than the storyline tomorrow being how the Eagles can build off of a win, it will instead be about the behavior of the coach on the sideline. It's hard to remember too many other examples of coaches jawing with fans on the sideline. Any who did probably weren't employed much longer afterwards.
