Hatfield woman injured in Allentown Road utility pole crash Wednesday morning, no charges filed

Franconia Township Police reported Thursday that a 79-year-old Hatfield woman was injured after crashing a 2012 Honda Accord into a utility pole at 192 Allentown Road at 10:38 a.m. Wednesday. 

Police said the driver complained over chest and arm pain and was taken by VMSC Emergency Medical Services to Grand View Hospital for treatment.

A passenger in the car, a 53-year-old woman from Harleysville, was not injured, police said.

Police said the Hatfield driver was traveling north on Allentown Road, and for an unknown reason, crossed over into the southbound lane of Allentown Road. The car went off the roadway and crashed into the pole, police said.

Police closed southbound Allentown Road to assess the scene and reopened the lane at 11:25 a.m., police said.

Franconia Police were assisted at the scene by VMSC and Perseverance Fire Co. and Perseverance Fire Police.

No charges will be filed, police said.
