Ryan Christopher Zampirri, 30, of Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, allegedly showed his genitals to a woman walking in the park in August.
A Lansdale man accused of exposing his penis to a woman in White’s Road Park in August and asking her to help him masturbate, while admittedly being high on methamphetamine and marijuana, had all charges held over for formal arraignment next month in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.
Magisterial District Judge Ed Levine held all charges against Ryan Christopher Zampirri, 30, of the third floor of a home on the 500 block of Derstine Avenue, following a preliminary hearing last week.
He remains in Montgomery County jail on $5,077 cash bail, which includes a probation/parole detainer.
Zampirri faces charges of misdemeanor indecent exposure, open lewdness, and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as public drunkenness and disorderly conduct, according to court documents.
At 8:50 a.m. Aug. 26, police responded to White’s Road Park at 400 White’s Road for a report of a man under the influence of drugs that had exposed himself to a woman, per the affidavit. The suspect was described as a white male, wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, police said.
Upon arrival, an officer spoke with the victim while a second officer went in search of the man, later identified as Zampirri, police said. The victim told police she was walking in the park and Zampirri approached her with both hands in his pants, per the affidavit.
Zampirri, police allege, told the victim he was “so high” and made a jerking motion inside his pants. The victim was alarmed and continued walking past Zampirri, police said.
As the victim made a lap around the paved path, she was again approached by Zampirri, except this time, police allege, he had his penis outside of his pants in his hand, pointed toward her, and asked her to help him.
The victim ran away in the opposite direction and called police.
Zampirri, police said, was found walking through the woods in the park, when he was stopped and asked to talk to police.
Police said Zampirri denied exposing himself to anyone in the park and he had not encountered anyone except police.
While talking with Zampirri, police said he was sweating profusely, making erratic movements, and could not stand still. He told police he was high on methamphetamine and smoked marijuana, per the complaint.
Police said the victim identified Zampirri as the man who exposed himself to her.
When placed into custody at 9:10 a.m. for indecent exposure, Zampirri told police he had a bag of methamphetamine hidden in his boxers. At the station, a search uncovered a small plastic bag from his boxers that contained only methamphetamine residue, police said.
Formal arraignment in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court is set for Nov. 13 at 9:30 a.m.
