Man suffers welts, swollen finger in drive-by paintball attack Friday night

A man was attacked while walking home from work Monday night in Montgomery Township in a drive-by paintball attack and police are asking for anyone with information or video to come forward.

Police said the man was crossing the intersection of Route 63/Welsh Road at North Wales Road in the Montgomery Township section of the intersection in a southerly direction on Friday at 9:14 p.m.

Suddenly, he was struck twice with paintballs – one hit him in the hand and a second hit him in the groin, police said.

The victim declined medical attention, police said, and the incident was called in to police about 20 minutes later.

There is no description of the suspect vehicle, police said.

According to the victim’s mother via Facebook, her son suffered welts and a swollen finger.
