Driver extricated through pickup windshield following 2-car crash in Montgomeryville during Tuesday rush hour

A male driver was extricated through the windshield of a silver Chevrolet pickup that flipped onto its driver's side at the intersection of Upper State and Horsham roads in Montgomery Township following a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon.

The accident at 4:32 p.m. also involved a white Kia SUV, which sustained heavy front-end damage in the crash.

Traffic is blocked at Upper State Road and at North Wales Road in both directions. Vehicles are blocking Horsham Road, according to Montgomery County emergency radio traffic. Horsham Road southbound is being re-routed. Rush hour traffic on the 202 Parkway is backed up past Costco.

Fire Department of Montgomery Township is on scene, along with two ambulances from VMSC Emergency Medical Services, Montgomery Township Police, and North Penn Vol. Fire Co. are on scene.
