VMSC Emergency Medical Services needs some life support this holiday season for #GivingTuesday.

The emergency responder is seeking the community’s help in raising $100,000 for two high-fidelity simulation manikins, including a pediatric simulator.

Manikins – different from the dressmaker mannequins – are full-body patient simulators that mimic human anatomy and physiology. VMSC EMS medics and EMTs will use the manikins for teaching of clinical skills and methods that will make a difference in a life-or-death moment.

As of Wednesday afternoon, VMSC had raised $1,029 toward its goal over 13 donors.

Make a donation one-time ($10, $25, $50, $100, $250 or custom) or monthly ($5, $10, $25 or custom) here.

#GivingTuesday is a global ‘generosity movement’ that encourages people and organizations to donate toward and make a change in their communities on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
