A Hatfield man has been arraigned on 50 felonies and 36 misdemeanors related to the alleged rape of a minor in Lower Providence Township in June and jailed on $500,000 cash bail.

Resul Mustafa Ozdemir, 26, of the 1000 block of Pinegrove Avenue, Hatfield Township, has been charged with five felony counts each of the following offenses: Rape by forcible compulsion, rape via threat of forcible compulsion, rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse by threat of forcible compulsion, and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, according to the criminal docket.

Ozdemir has also been charged with four felony counts each of the following offenses: Aggravated indecent assault of a child, aggravated indecent assault without consent, aggravated indecent assault by forcible compulsion, and aggravated indecent assault by threat of forcible compulsion, according to court records.

Furthermore, Ozdemir is charged with six misdemeanor counts each of indecent assault by forcible compulsion and indecent assault by threat of forcible compulsion, as well as 12 misdemeanor charges each of indecent assault on a person less than 13 years of age and indecent assault without consent of the other person, per the docket.

Pinegrove Avenue is next to Oak Park Elementary School and across the border from Lansdale Borough.

Ozdemir, who was remanded to Montgomery County jail, awaits a preliminary hearing on Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Cathleen Kelly Rebar, according to court documents.
