Montco Bomb Squad investigating report of grenade brought home from Green Lane Reservoir, per reports

Montgomery County Bomb Squad has responded to a home on the 2500 block of Line Lexington Road in Hatfield Township after it was reported Sunday afternoon that a resident found a grenade at Green Lane Reservoir and brought it home, according to Montgomery County emergency dispatch.

Reports stated that the house has been evacuated as of 3:15 p.m. and the grenade is on the kitchen table. Ammo was also found near the grenade at the reservoir, per reports, but is unknown if the resident brought home the ammunition.

Bomb squad members were seen wrapping something in a black fabric and placing it carefully inside a van around 4:30 p.m.

Line Lexington is closed at Merel Road and Trewigtown Road. Colmar Fire and Hatfield Police are on scene for assistance.

There are no injuries and no reported threat to the public.
