Philadelphia’s beloved Christmas Village, presented by Bank of America, is back this month for its 17th season, filling LOVE Park, City Hall’s Courtyard, and North Broad with festive cheer from November 28 to December 24, 2024. A special Preview Weekend kicks off the celebrations on November 23 and 24, giving visitors a sneak peek of this German-style open-air Christmas market.

Shoppers can find unique presents, cozy holiday decor and perfect stocking stuffers from a wide variety of local and international artisans. Look for charming wooden cottages nestled among sparkling lights and holiday decor, creating a magical winter wonderland in the heart of Center City.

This year brings some exciting new features, including the market’s first-ever vegan booth offering tasty plant-based bratwursts and crispy blooming onions, plus new flavors of Glühwein (mulled wine). Guests can also follow the delightful scents of Swiss raclette cheese, hot chocolate, and German bratwursts to discover a delicious selection of traditional European fare. For an authentic taste, head to the German Grill, where sausages sizzle over open flames, or try Käsespätzle, a classic German mac and cheese, topped with crunchy onions.

Beyond food and shopping, Christmas Village offers fun for all ages, including rides like the double-decker Christmas Village Carousel, a Ferris Wheel, and the Kids Train. Special events throughout the season include the German American Weekend on December 14-15, presented by the German Consulate General in New York, as well as live music and spirits tastings. Families and friends can create lasting memories with festive photo spots, including the Angel Wing Wall, or by sharing their holiday wishes on the Make-a-Wish wall.
