Even Micah Parsons Can't Help But Rave About Saquon Barkley

As Saquon Barkley was being interviewed on the Amazon Prime Video postgame show after Thursday's 26-18 win over the Washington Commanders, Eagles fans chanted "Thank you, Giants!"

Dallas Cowboys' linebacker Micah Parsons had a different message after the game for the Giants, and it certainly wasn't thanking them:

Parsons played collegiately at Penn State in 2018 and 2019, immediately after Barkley dominated for the Nittany Lions over the three-season stretch of 2015-17. So this tweet is probably more indicative of Parsons showing support for a fellow alum and just generally being a fan of great players than anything. However, it certainly won't stop the narrative that the Harrisburg native secretly wishes he was an Eagle. Will that ever become a reality? Almost certainly not. Although you could have said the same thing about Barkley a few years ago.

Meanwhile, Dez Bryant — a thorn in the side of the Eagles during his peak years as a member of the Cowboys — also praised Barkley:

In the defense of both Parsons and Bryant, all you can really do right now is rave about Barkley's first season in Philadelphia. He racked up 198 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns Thursday. His 1,137 rushing yards this season — at least until Derrick Henry and the Baltimore Ravens play Sunday — leads the NFL. Barkley is not only at the forefront of the Offensive Player of the Year race, but deserves to be in the MVP discussion.
