A Montgomery Township woman has been accused of spitting on officers and resisting arrest outside Red Lobster earlier this month, following a dispute with an Uber driver.
Anna Bajorska, 31, of the 300 block of Stump Road, faces a felony charge of assault of a police officer, a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest and summary public drunkenness, per court records.
On Nov. 2 at 10:39 p.m., Montgomery Township Police were called to a disturbance at the restaurant at 640 Cowpath Road at Five Points by an Uber driver who was having an uncooperative situation with Bajorska, police said.
Police met with the Uber driver, and suddenly, authorities allege, Bajorska came running across the lot toward the location, charging at the Uber driver, but was stopped when an officer placed his arm between them.
Bajorska, police said, had bloodshot, glassy eyes and had an odor of alcohol on her breath, and authorities had a hard time understanding her because she was yelling and pacing. Police allege she charged at the Uber driver again as he sat in his car, but police grabbed her shoulders and directed her away from the vehicle. Bajorska sat on the curb, rambling about how her Uber driver was drunk, police said.
Bajorska stood up and began walking toward the victim’s car again, police said. When officers blocked her from moving, she allegedly spit toward them several times and clenched her right fist, as if she was going to hit the officer.
This behavior continued at least two more times, police said, at which time she was taken into custody. She allegedly pulled away and tried to push the officer’s face and neck with her left hand. Police took her to the ground to arrest her, but she began kicking toward an officer’s head several times, per the affidavit.
Bajorska allegedly continued to resist arrest for several minutes while on the ground, but eventually she was cuffed. Then, she refused to put her legs inside the patrol car, police said.
An ambulance was called for the defendant for her intoxication and a checkup on her well being, police said. As police assisted Bajorska from the patrol car to the ambulance, she allegedly spit at an officer several times, striking him.
The Uber driver told police Bajorska called for an Uber, but began to argue with him and would not provide her PIN to confirm her identity, police said. She then allegedly kicked the passenger door, upon which police were contacted by Uber.
Bajorska is free on $5,000 unsecured bail and has a preliminary hearing Tuesday morning before Magisterial District Judge Andrea Duffy, per court records.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
