WATCH: Three brush fires ignite Saturday afternoon near Peace Valley Park

The incidents occurred around 1:30 p.m. and involved responses from fire companies from Montgomery and Bucks counties.

Fire crews are battling three separate brush fires that sparked in two neighboring municipalities near Peace Valley Park Saturday afternoon.


A large brush fire on the 700 block of New Galena Road, north of Lake Galena, in New Britain Township was reported shortly before 2 p.m., which originated at Pavilion Three at the park, per emergency dispatch.

According to Montgomery County emergency operations dispatch, the Bucks County brush fire is located near North Limeklin Pike and Callowhill Road. 

Chalfont Fire Co., Plumsteadville Fire Co., Sellersville Fire Co., Doylestown Fire Co. and Fire Police, Colmar Fire Co., Sellersville Fire Police, and Fire Department of Montgomery Township Fire Police have been called to assist at the scene.

The second brush fire broke out around 1:45 p.m. on the 400 block of Skunk Hollow Road in Hilltown Township, near North Limekiln Pike, which is being put under control by Hilltown and Towamencin Township fire companies.


The first brush fire was reported at 1:09 p.m. on the 1700 block of Keystone Drive in Hilltown Township, and Hilltown and Chalfont fire companies were able to get it under control quickly.
