The NBA announced a suspension of three games for Sixers star Joel Embiid Tuesday after a locker room altercation with Marcus Hayes of The Philadelphia Inquirer Saturday evening.
The NBA has announced a 3-game suspension without pay for Joel Embiid, beginning with the next game for which he is eligible to play.
As noted by On Pattison's Austin Krell, the suspension will not begin until Embiid is ready to play. He's yet to suit up for the Sixers this season.
ESPN's Shams Charania hears that suspension will start Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Clippers, and he'll make his season debut on Nov. 12 against the New York Knicks.
Joel Embiid’s three-game suspension will span Wednesday vs. Clippers, Friday vs. Lakers and Sunday vs. Hornets – meaning the former league MVP is set to make his season debut in NBA Cup opener against the Knicks on Nov. 12 in Philadelphia, sources tell ESPN. https://t.co/6uUp2r2qJf
