2-car crash with rescue backs up 309 Northbound Sunday afternoon

A 2-vehicle accident with rescue Sunday afternoon on the northbound Route 309 bypass at Rich Hill Road, after the merge point of Bethlehem Pike, in Richland Township reduced the highway to a single lane as police and emergency crews handled the scene and sent at least one person to an area hospital.

The roof was cut on a gray Nissan Rogue, which sustained heavy front-end and side damage, per reports from the scene. A black Toyota Yaris, whose driver was uninjured, sustained heavy front-end damage as well in the crash that occurred shortly before 12:45 p.m.

Rich HIll Road was closed at the intersection. 

Quakertown and Sellersville fire departments and Perkasie Fire Police assisted Pennridge Regional Police at the scene.
