Hilltown Township Police have charged a Silverdale woman via summons with propelling a missile into an occupied vehicle and other offenses in connection to an incident on May 2 on the 100 block of East Main Street in Silverdale Borough.

Skylar Hale Hunsiker, 25, of the 100 block of West Main Street, has also been charged with resisting arrest, driving under the influence, disorderly conduct by fighting, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a criminal complaint.

On May 2, at 7:19 p.m., police responded to the area of East Main and East Walnut streets to search for a gray Honda Civic driven by a blonde-haired white female, as it was reported that the driver threw an unknown object at another car, police said.

After police located the vehicle, driven by Hunsiker, police allege, they made her pull over into a parking lot of a business on East Main Street. When police approached the car, Hunsiker opened the door, threw her purse at the officer, and began yelling at the officer while moving about irately, police said.

Police detected an odor of alcohol emanating from Hunsiker, police said, and she admitted to drinking alcohol and also said that the victims did nothing wrong as she threw something at their car.

Officers attempted to calm down Hunsicker, who continued to scream that she wanted her ticket or arrest so that she could be left alone, according to the complaint.

Hunsiker, police said, refused field sobriety tests. She was placed under arrest, but police said she continued to scream and pull away while also trying to kick two police officers.

Police took Hunsiker to the ground and was handcuffed, police said. A search of Hunsiker’s purse found a baggie of marijuana, police said.

Hunsiker agreed to have blood drawn to test for DUI at the Hilltown Township Police station, according to the complaint. After the blood was drawn, she was released to a sober individual, police said.

A preliminary hearing is set for June 18 at 3:30 p.m. before Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage, according to court records.
