Harleysville Country Fair Days returns Wednesday through Saturday with food, fun, fireworks

It is time again to kick off summer in the North Penn and Indian Valley areas with the return of the Harlesyville Jaycees Country Fair Days on Wednesday night at the Harleysville Community Center on Park Avenue.

“We couldn't have made this happen without the incredible support of our generous sponsors. A huge thank you to each and every one of them for making this year's fair possible,” wrote the Jaycees on Facebook. “Get ready for four days filled with thrilling rides, delicious food, and memories that will last a lifetime.”

The fair opens 6 p.m. Wednesday and closes at 10 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at Harleysville Ace Hardware or Harleysville Bank. Advanced ride tickets are $25 for a sheet of 25.

Ticket prices at the fair are $1.50 per ticket, or $30 for a sheet of 25 tickets, or $60 for a sheet of 70 tickets.

Attendees can also buy $30 wristbands to be used only for Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday’s matinee.

Visa and Mastercard is now accepted for food and ride tickets.

Wednesday night, sponsored by Henning’s Market, and Thursday night, sponsored by Fretz RV, feature $30 wristbands for amusement rides only.

Pyro-musical fireworks will go off Friday night at 9:30 p.m., sponsored by Velocity Ventures and Bergey’s Auto Dealerships. The fair is open Friday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

On Saturday, begin the day with the Harleysville Memorial Day Parade at 11 a.m., sponsored by Moyer’s Outdoor Power Equipment. Then, the matinee opens at noon to 4 p.m., sponsored by Excel Communications and Waste Management.

Saturday evening features Old Fashioned Ticket Night from 6 pm. to 10 p.m., where every ride is only three tickets.
