More than 200 seventh graders from Pennridge North Middle School spent about three hours doing community service at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery and St. Stephen's Cemetery in Perkasie on Thursday.

Traditionally a yearly event on the weekend before Memorial Day, the students, teachers, and administrators from North Middle School replenished the American flags at the graves of Perkasie veterans. More than 300 flags were placed on graves so we "Never Forget" their service to our country.

With maps of the grounds and lists of veterans, the students helped honor our local veterans by placing flags, up righting memorial markers, and tidying up around the headstones.

As a community, we are committed to fostering an environment where education and meaningful service initiatives are deeply intertwined with our core values,” he said. “As a veteran, it is profoundly moving to witness the enduring respect for those who served our nation, ensuring they are never forgotten."
