State Correctional Institution Phoenix, located in Skippack Township, is in need of some new correction officer trainees and the like, and thus, the state Department of Corrections will hold a job fair today at 1200 Mokychic Drive in Collegeville, according to MyChesCo.

New minimum age requirements for corrections officer trainees is 18 years old, changed from 21, per the report, to broaden the pool of eligible applicants.

Furthermore, one need not reside in Pennsylvania anymore to work as a corrections officer in any of the 24 state prisons, according to MyChesCo.
