  • Things To Do

Strap on your helmet and giddy up the aluminum horse to The Partnership TMA of Montgomery County and Lansdale Police Department’s Bike Rodeo Saturday morning at White’s Road Park, which coincides with the National Park Trust’s and Lansdale Parks and Recreation’s “Kids to Parks Day.”

The Partnership TMA, showing no slowing down of promoting bicycle safety after its recent unveiling of a bike fix-it stand in Stony Creek Park, will hand out free bike helmets – first come, first served – during the rodeo, kickstanding off at 9 a.m.

The annual Bike Rodeo event is geared toward young riders who are just starting to learn how to ride a bike.

There will be bike tune-ups and even an agility course to try out.

But wait! There's more!

The rodeo event ends at 11 a.m.

However, Lansdale Parks and Recreation will continue to be at its "Kids to Parks Day" event until 1 p.m., where it will promote previews of upcoming summer programming, including pickleball.

It will also feature nature activities with the local Boy Scouts, history walks with the Lansdale Historical Society, a scavenger hunt, and a DJ dance party.

Plus, food and refreshments will be provided by Little’s Ice Cream and Water Ice, Stewart’s Root Beer Mobile Restaurant, and BG’s Funnel Cake.
