Each year, on the second Saturday in May, letter carriers collect donations of non-perishable food items to benefit local food pantries across the country.
This food drive, organized by the National Association of Letter Carriers, is called Stamp Out Hunger. It is the nation's largest one-day food drive, and it is one of the largest food drives all year to benefit Manna on Main Street.
"We need your help, especially as we see skyrocketing demand for food at Manna. Our neighbors rely on Manna, and Manna relies on you,” stated Manna on Main Street in a press release. “Thank you for your support and for your commitment to end hunger in our community.
So what do residents need to do? Just leave the donation of non-perishable food in a bag near the mailbox or mail slot on Saturday, and your letter carrier will handle the rest.
Manna on Main Street will receive the food donated by anyone who lives in the 19446 ZIP Code. For those who live in other parts of Montgomery County, donations will be given to other local food pantries.

Donations to Manna can also be made at Manna’s Warehouse, 650 N. Cannon Ave. in Lansdale.
