The North Penn School District (NPSD) is hosting a School Safety Forum to discuss the policies, practices and measures in place to establish a comprehensive approach to school safety on Tuesday, May 14 at 6 p.m. at North Penn High School (NPHS), 1340 Valley Forge Road, Lansdale.

The public forum will include a panel discussion moderated by NPSD Superintendent Dr. Todd Bauer and will begin with NPSD’s Coordinator of Emergency Management and Safe Schools Brandon Rhone providing an overview of NPSD’s school safety efforts and security measures. The panel discussion will include input and comments from local law enforcement, county safety officials, mental health experts, and NPSD Board of School Directors.

The goal of this forum is to review NPSD’s comprehensive school safety model and to answer questions. Audience members and those watching from home and online will be encouraged to ask questions and provide personal input following the panel discussion.

North Penn Television (NPTV) will broadcast the forum live on NPTV Comcast Cable Channel 28 and Verizon FIOS Cable Channel 29. Community members may also view online at youtube.com/nptv and NPSD's Facebook page. Viewers will be able to submit questions through email or Facebook on the night of the event. Those who would like to submit questions prior to the event may do so here. Details on how to participate that evening will be available on www.npenn.org.

All North Penn community members are invited to attend this interactive and informative discussion.
