Hundreds packed Madison Street in Lansdale Borough on a brisk Friday night for the inaugural First Friday of the 2024 season.

According to Discover Lansdale, the new configuration offered “convenient access and a central situation for all the action, along with an expanded vendor area, an improved Kids Zone, and a super-sized beer garden with food vendors and live music.”

All ages enjoyed the 1960s and 1970s grooves blasted out by live cover band AM Radio on the Band Stage by the Dresher Arcade entrance/exit, as DJ Chris Evans rocked the wheels of steel in Rail Road Plaza.

Children marveled at the Superman moon bounce, an 18-foot slide, and inflatable axe throwing. Visitors chowed on food from Moshava, Meatwagon BBQ, Tuckedito, The Tot Rod, and Surf and Turf Truck, and satisfied sweet cravings with Fiesta Churros, Funella’s Funnel Cake and Downtown Scoop ice cream.

Those 21 and up washed everything down with libations from Well Crafted Beer, Ten7 Brewing Co., Local Tap/Favorite Child Brewing, and Simple Days Beer.

The remaining themes of the season are the following:

  • June 7: Boardwalk - Recalling those golden days down the shore.
  • July 5: Dog Days of Summer - Beating the heat while honoring Man’s Best Friend.
  • August 2: '80s Night - Don your platform shoes and glitter garb and dance, dance, dance.
  • September 6: Philly Sports - Fly with us as football season commences.
  • October 4: Oktoberfest/Chili Cookoff - Our annual tasty competition kicks off a weekend-long Oktoberfest celebration in the Borough culminating in Discover Lansdale’s amazing annual Zer0.5K and Oktoberfest Sunday, Oct. 6.
  • November 1: Zombie Walk - Stagger down Main with hundreds of your fellow undead.
